Fishing in September

It may seem a bit early, but I'll be in Orange beach in September (12-19) and I plan to fish from the beach or pier as much as I can. Any suggestions as to what to target and how? I've got some gear accumulated over the years fishing on the gulf coast but am always open to suggestions. Especially since I've never fished the Orange Beach area.

the Gulf State Park Fishing Pier should most definitely be open then. Starts to be good for kings around then and also specks and reds. You should be able to catch all kinds of fish from the pier in September. I can promise you one thing, if you check back here regularly and especially right before your trip you will find all kinds of talk about catching fish from that pier.
