Little Lagoon Sat 3-14
I put into Shelby this morning around 7 and fished topwaters around the grassflats to no avail. The wind picked up and I took it to the house. Later in the morning while running errands, saw the only sunshine on the island shining on Little Lagoon. Called my buddy JB and we finally got in the water around 3 pm. After trying the pass for a short while we agreed on another spot to try, found deep water, and caught 1-redfish 16", 5 specks 16-18, 1 white trout 13". Caught all in the rain drifting bull minnows. 7 fish, 5 of them came on the first drift, other 2 on the 2nd drift, called it quits. It was also funny that the first fish was the redfish, then we caught 5 specks, and finished with the white guy. The speck in the middle of the pic had no spots on his bodies but spot on his dorsal and tail. Gave the redfish to a neighbor and kept the trout for the fryer.

Hi
Nice catch...you were in Little Lagoon when you caught them?
You mentioned Lake Shelby....isn't it fresh water?
We have a condo down there and come down as much as I can. Keep my boat there.
Thanks

Specks
Shelby had some specks after Ivan cut through but I haven't seen any lately.
