I got on the water around 3:15pm and headed towards the southen end of Daphne. I have never fished that far south of Daphne but I was hoping to find some fish. We had made plans to fish Dauphin Island, but @ 4am the wind was just blowing too strong (up to 20 knots) to do what we wanted to do. Drifted by the pass and caught this 16" speck on a new penny jerk shad Worked that area for a little longer with nothing, moved to try a spot near the pass where a lot of fish were moving around Saturday evening and caught a nice healthy 18" speck the wind facilitated this excellent camera work Anyway, I had dinner for two and headed home to Game Fish Minnow and Game Fish Mate. They are traffic cams for Mobile and Baldwin counties. WKRG's website shows you the location of each traffic cam, which makes finding the one you're looking for easier. I use these cameras to see how foggy it is on the water or how rough the bay and rivers might be. It's a lot easier to use these than trying to catch the morning news. Me and gamefish struck out last night for a highly anticipated night fishing trip around ONO island and Bear Point. We stayed on the Little Lagoon and fished there over the past few days. The fishing was not great, but we did manage to catch a few specks and couple flounder and one 22" Red Fish and tons of croakers. We had to work hard for what fish we caught. We did end up with 3 specks around 3 Lbs. One funny rhing we did catch was a inshore Lizard Fish. We met a guy that had fished the bay and he caught some nice specks....he said ...
